Initial situation
Sugar centrifuges require smooth, controlled movement of the scraper to ensure a clean scraping process. Fluctuating loads during contact with the sugar mass can easily cause jerky movements in unsuitable drive solutions, compromising process quality.
Objective
Development of a feed unit that ensures a constant, smooth feed speed independent of changing tension and compression forces — while maintaining high dynamics for fast rapid strokes, with an optional food-grade design.
Our solution
Our hydropneumatic feed units ensure smooth, controlled scraper movement in sugar centrifuges. An integrated oil brake prevents jerky movements during contact with the sugar mass and ensures a constant feed speed even under varying loads.
Precise speed control ensures consistent process quality, while fast rapid strokes combined with controlled working movements enable efficient centrifuge operation. On request, the feed unit is also available in a food-grade (FDA-compliant) design.
